It was a long time promise to the riders: when one would win again a Top Division race, the management offers a new jersey to the team for the following season.
We had to wait...and wait...and wait, but then Joachim Holtslag claimed for 1st stage in Germany Tour, so we could eventually call back the designer who had forgotten this project long ago. He was touring around the world on a ship, "chasing inspiration" as he said. Then he sent a draft with some confusing sentences about the continuing flow of the sea and the lone star on the horizon... We just couldn't understand the sense, but the drawing was bright and colourful and the riders cheered it, childish as they are.
So here it is: the team kept its traditionnal colours but we'll have a sort of jersey you can never lose your TMs with in a peloton. :)
May now the orange star shine high on Top Division !
